I can never forget those days of my childhood when my mother used to offer me honey with salt as a treatment for sore throats and coughs. Honey has always been an integral part of almost every kitchen. Right from breakfast to dinner at night, yummy honey can be eaten any time with a variety of dishes.
It is more used in puddings even as it is good for health as compared to sugar, honey can give different benefits if combined with different things as honey with warm water and lime helps reducing weight, honey applied on face gives shine to snin, honey with salt is good for bad throat. In fact honey is not just a food ingredient like butter, tomato sauce, cream , achhar (pickle), etc. which we use in one way or other with different food stuffs but it is a natural food item that also possesses certain medical properties as well.
